Photography has been specialising in retouching, enhancements, and
artwork for over thirty years, with current artist on staff for over
twenty-three years.
Retouching
Reality is often more forgiving than the camera lens because of the
dynamics of a real person as well as the difference between a two
dimensional representation and the real thing.
Retouching when done properly can achieve subtle and flattering results.
Generally the aim is to soften some of the harshness captured by the
camera plus the lighting necessary to achieve professional photography.
Artwork
Artwork can range from adding a sibling to a family photo, creating
a montage of an event or life, to more adventurous enhancements.
Some of the retouching and/or artwork we have done includes:
- opening eyes
- clearing complexions, smoothing tan lines, removing braces
- aging individuals, softening age lines
- changing hair colour, thickness, length, out of place hair
- glare in glasses, faces, windows
- eliminating or adding backgrounds, people, objects, shadows
- disguising or changing inappropriate clothing for an image
- straightening ties, straps, clothing, horizons
- improving colour, contrast on new photos or faded images
- adding colour to B&W images in select areas or to an entire image
- changing colour(s)
- doing montages of one person or an event
